Interferential Muscle Stimulation: is used to produce muscle contraction, stretching of fibrotic tissue, and hyperemia. Blocks pain, reduces swelling, and inflammation. Promotes muscle tone and speeds up the healing process. It also stimulates muscle by supplying an artificial contraction or spasms in or to fatigue the muscles, which are in spasms.
Cold Laser Therapy: Spring Chiropractic is pleased to introduced the FDACleared ML830 Cold Laser. This remarkable therapy device is FDA approved to treat & manage Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Joint & Muscle Pain Relief. The ML830 is a non-thermal laser capable of penetrating deep into tissue. Once delivered, the light energy promotes the process of photobiostimulation.
Ultrasound, is highly affective in treating calcium deposits, reduces nerve root irritation, increases blood flow, relaxes muscle spasms, massages damaged tissue and speeds the healing process. It reduces edema, increases intracellular metabolism and acts as a localanesthesia producing relief of pain.
Advanced Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression:
Do you suffer Chronic low back and leg pain?
Scientific discovery reveals Advanced Spinal Decompression Technique.
Spinal Decompression Relieves Pressure Caused By:
- Disc Herniation
- Disc Bulge
- Sciatica
- Spondylolisthesis
- Disc Degeneration
- Facet / Arthrosis
Conditions
Reverse High Intra - Disc Pressure.
When the pressure builds up inside the disc, it causes bulging of the jelly-like material. With increasing/prolonged pressure or (injury/accidents) can cause the disc to rupture or herniated in which the disc material will leak out.
The bulging or spilled disc material will cause pressure on the nerves and other structures that cause pain. The pain can travel into you back, buttocks and leg and is commonly associated with numbness / tingling and weakness in the extremity.
Decompression relieves pain by creating a vacuum type of suction which reverses the high pressure inside the disc and can draw the bulging back into the disc body. This procedure is called non-surgical spinal decompression and has been very successful in the treatment of herniated discs.
Patient Evaluation:
Our doctors will perform a through history and examination to determine if you are a candidate for the decompression treatment. If you have any medical records / MRIs / CT scans please bring to your appointment.
The Treatment Program
A typical program is spread over a few weeks. The procedure has had great success in treating herniated discs and even better for less severe conditions. Following each treatment we recommend the patient perform strengthening and stabilizing exercises.
Intersegmental Traction, mechanical (one or more areas) The force used to create a degree of tension of soft tissues and/or to allow for separation between joint surfaces. The degree of traction is controlled through the amount of force (pounds) allowed, duration (time), and angle of pull (degrees) using mechanical means.
Diathermy: The physiological effects includeincreased blood flow. circulation, relaxation of muscle spasms and can speed up the healing process. Used as a deep heat (asopposed to surface heating of moist heat packs), by way of short wave electromagnetic energy, it relaxes connectiver tissue and can increase range of motion, reduce muscle spasms and cramping. It dialates blood vessels for improved circulation. Stimulates white blood cell production. Increases metabolism and waste removeal. Helps prevent adhesions and scar tissue.
Paraffin Bath: Wax treatmentused to apply superficial heat that has longer duration for the effects of the underlying tissues. Usually used with the hands / feet and especially useful for pain relief in chronic orthopedic problems.
